President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko charged the law enforcement bodies of Ukraine to check reasons of retardation of the calculations of votes during parliamentary elections. It is said in the President’s address to the Ukrainian people, publicized in president’s press service.
Yushchenko called completion of early parliamentary elections as common victory. Half of a year constitutional coup d'état has been prepared in the country. We defended rights of people to choose their fortune. As a head of the State I highly appreciate this fact, that my position and confidence to reach changes were supported by people,” the President stated.
At the same time Yushchenko noted that the key issue becomes final results of the elections. “I am concerned by the retardation of calculations of elections results in Eastern and Southern regions,” he said.
The President demands comprehensive explanations from the CEC and Prosecutor General’s Office.
He charged law enforcement bodies to start investigations of reasons and circumstances of retardation of protocols transfer.
