OSCE recognized elections in Ukraine

The early parliamentary elections in Ukraine were held according to the demands of the OSCE and the Council of Europe, as well as to the liabilities of Ukraine in these organizations.

“The elections were held transparently in competitive environment,” head of the OSCE mission Tone Tingsgard said.

Tingsgard has noted that more than 20 political parties and blocs, taken part in the elections, gave “a wonderful choice” to citizens.

According to Tingsgard, the commission estimates the day of the elections as “quiet” and the process of voting “was held transparently”.

At the same time Tingsgard says that the last amendments the elections legislation influenced negatively on the election process.
