Ukraine and EU to hold consultations about free trade

The next round of consultations with the European Union about free trade zone will take place in Kyiv on September 25-26. Deputy Minister of Economy Valeriy Pyatnytsky has informed today at a briefing.

In particular, the sides will discuss questions on tariff regulation, cooperation in the customs sphere and others.

“The consultations have been already started with such countries as Singapore and Turkey… The consultations with Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein are being held. These consultations are being held in the context of the consultations with the European Union,” Pyatnytsky informed.

The strengthened agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, the main part of which will be the free trade zone formation, will be signed after Ukraine will have entered the World trade organization and after formal negotiations concerning the free trade zone.
