Viktor Yanukovych: Ukraine and Russia have good working relations


Ukraine and Russia have good working relations at all levels of power. Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych expressed this opinion today at the concluding press conference on the results of the first quarter, Cabinet’s press office informs.

“Rather good working relations have been established between Ukraine and Russia at levels of the presidents, governments, ministries and regions, separate fields and big technology production complexes,” the Ukrainian PM stressed.

As the Prime Minister noted stable economic relations with Russia are very important for Ukraine.

Viktor Yanukovych emphasized that Russia is a strategy partner of Ukraine which supplies “80 percent of gas and above 60 percent of oil to Ukraine”.

“Our policy is and will be always aimed at preventing any unpredictable activities from both sides,” the Prime Minister underscored.

“Stable relations will ensure stable pricing and everything else,” the Head of Government said. The Premier noted that during four months of the current year the commodity turnover between Ukraine and Russia has been increased by 38 percent and keeps growing. According to the Prime Minister’s evaluation, the commodity turnover between two countries can reach $28 billion USD.
