President meets Polish PM


Victor Yushchenko on Friday met for talks with Poland’s Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski. They spoke about home, border and energy issues, president's press office informs.

The Ukrainian leader said it was important to implement the Odesa-Brody-Plock oil pipeline project and added that Ukraine was interested in involving more partners in it. He said he was ready to take part in an informal energy summit of heads of state, which is scheduled to be held on May 11-12 and expected to focus on transit policies.

The two leaders also discussed preparations for the Euro 2012 championship finals. Yushchenko suggested holding a joint session of Ukraine’s and Poland’s Euro 2012 organizing committees in May. He said the two countriesshould further liberalize visa requirements to attract as many football fans as possible.
