Government determines five priorities of innovation activity in Ukraine

The Government has approved and submitted to the VR a bill "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Priority Trends of Innovation Activity in Ukraine", providing for five priorities and financing from the budget, “Cabinet press office” reported.

According to Education and Science Minister Stanislav Nikolayenko, the bill can be applied in the sectors of energy preservation, IT, medicine, nanotechnology and new technology in agriculture.

Stanislav Nikolayenko believes these five trends will replace a comprehensive list of sectors, meant for innovation development. The bill also provides for determination of strategic trends for the following 10 years, endorsed by the VR and tactical trends, for the following 5 years, passed by the Cabinet of Ministers.
