Yanukovych intends to increase GDP growth

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych considers that Ukraine should follow the world leaders on GDP growth rate. He told today at the Cabinet’s session, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

“Ukraine should define its way for development and priorities. We will attract advisories who has essential experience in the world and who overcame reforms in the most success countries,” the PM said.

According to him, such countries are Finland, Singapore and Australia.

“We are not satisfied with the European GDP growth of 3%. We should have not less that 7-8%. Than we will gradually catch up with the living standard, increase social standards and strive for the world level,” the PM noted, adding that Ukraine has significant potential on this question.

Yanukovych charged the vice PM Mykola Azarov to complete necessary documents preparation to start public discussion on this question at the end of March.
