Viktor
Yanukovych supports the registered in the Verkhovna Rada bill on legislative
system. Prime Minister told at a meeting with PACE Rapporteurs Renate Wohlwend
and Hanne Severinsen and Secretary of the PACE Monitoring Committee Ivi-Triin Odrats,
“Cabinet press office” reported.
As the PM noted, the reformation of the
Ukrainian legal system shall be carried out as soon as possible. The Cabinet of
Ministers will do its best for reaching a consensus on this issue.
The Prime Minister assured the PACE Rapporteurs that
the current political and economic situation in the country is stable.
According to him, the Constitutional reform, enacted on January 1, 2006 in
Ukraine, is taking on new legal signs and starts to act in all directions of
the state’s activity.
In Viktor Yanukovych’s
opinion, statements of some political forces on likely pre-term parliamentary and
presidential elections are groundless.
Besides, the Prime Minister expressed hope
that transition to the post-monitoring dialogue between Ukraine and PACE is scheduled
for the nearest future.
