The
chairman of the European Committee Representation in Ukraine Ian Boag predicts
that negotiations about signing new Enhanced agreement between Ukraine and the EU
will last more than a year. He told Monday at a press conference in Kyiv.
“Of
course, it will last more than a year. But I’m not sure how much longer,” said
Boag.
According
to him, it will be a lasting process, the aim of which is to get really
material agreement which will determine the relations between Ukraine and the EU
with the appropriate principles and for the long period of time.
He
pointed that during today’s meeting in Brussels Ukraine and the EU have to
determine the expectations of this agreement.
Boag
emphasized that the EU wants to sign such agreement which could intensify
Ukraine-EU cooperation, especially Ukrainian integration into the EU internal
market.
He
also added that these negotiations will last as long as it is needed to cover
all issues.
