VR still does not approve Ohryzko and Korol

The President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko has not forwarded documents concerning appointment Ohryzko for the Foreign Minister post and Korol for chairman of the Security Service to the committee of the VR on state construction, regional policy and local authorities.

The chairman of the committee of the Verkhovna Rada on state construction, regional policy and local authorities Viktor Tykhonov told today in an interview. “There is only oral information but not in written form,” Tykhonov said.

He noted that during the first proposition of these candidatures the representatives of the committee held meetings with Ohryzko and Korol. At that he reminded that the Verkhovna Rada during the first consideration did not give consent for their appointment. “I think this time it will be the same situation, if only political agreement is achieved,” he said.
