Koreans are interested in tourist sphere of Ukraine


Koreans businessmen plan to realize some projects in tourist sphere in Ukraine at the cost of approx. USD 600 million.

According to the press service of the Ukrainian union of industrialists and entrepreneurs, the Ukrainian entrepreneurs and representatives of business circles of Korea discussed this question during their today’s meeting.

The representative of the Korean delegation Chu Kim noted that companies and firms are ready to make investments of full projects cost in particular investments in constructions of mini hotels and rest zones. Now the Korean businessmen provide for development and realization of some projects of USD 600 million.

Besides tourism, Korean entrepreneurs expressed interest in defense industry, energy supply and road construction, UNIAN informs.

Ukrainian businessmen and the Government members offer the foreign investors mutually beneficial strategic algorithm: Ukraine, taking into consideration accession into the WTO and integration to the EU, could become an efficient instrument of promotion of Korean goods and services on the European market, and Korea would contribute to promotion of the Ukrainian goods on the perspective Asian market. Ukraine also will have access to the high technologies of Korea and Korean entrepreneurs will have possibility to use highly qualified personnel and significant natural resources of our country.

Nowadays level of cooperation between two countries does not correspond to possibilities and potential. For example, trade volume comprises USD 1 milliard and investments to Ukraine – 170 USD 170 million, representatives of the Ukrainian union of industrialists and entrepreneurs consider.
