National Security and Defense Council to investigate capital flow-out

Two questions on prevention of capital flow-out outside Ukraine and permission of departments of military forces of other countries on the territory of Ukraine in 2007 for participation in multinational training are discusses now at the session of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine headed by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko. The ForUm’s correspondent informs.

The President noted that volumes of capital flow-out pose a threat to national security of Ukraine.

According to Yushchenko, since 2004 and for nine month of the previous year, according to the official statistics, USD 12.9 milliard has left Ukraine. During the same period the amount of investments to Ukraine comprised USD 13.2 milliard. He noted that we have the same-order processes: investments and capital flow-out that are equal in volumes.

Yushchenko stressed that today at the NSDC session we should make thorough analyze of the situation and to find out why there is no favorable investment climate in Ukraine.
