Yushchenko demands to increase salary rate


Having analyzed situation concerning tariffs growth for housing and communal services, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko make a conclusion that the Ukrainian parliament and Cabinet should work out and adopt draft bill on changes to the state budjet-2007 to increase minimum salary and living wage rate. Viktor Bondar the deputy head of the Secretariat of the President told today at the press conference, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

According to him, there is a situation when tariffs for communal services grew by several times but rate of the social provision becomes on the level of 2005, 2006.

“The President is waiting for preparation of the draft bill that will allow changing social payments: to increase minimum salary rate and leaving wage,” Bondar said. He noted that at President’s request the VR during adoption and signing the budget took obligation to reconsider salary rate and living wage
