Ukraine and Moldova simplify joint boundary crossing

A protocol of the Ukraine-Moldova intergovernmental agreement on admission points and simplified citizens admission, residing in frontier regions, has been signed lately, Cabinet press office reported.

According to this, Ukraine and Moldova citizens, who permanently reside in the administrative frontier regions, may cross the state borderline in a simplified mode afoot, by bicycles, and own vehicles under 3.5 tones carrying capacity using internal passports or passports for traveling abroad.

The Moldova-Ukraine boundary-crossing mode is thereby simplified considerably for many Ukrainians, residing in Moldova borders close to Ukraine, including the Transdniestrian region's areas. This also simplifies family relations, social and cultural interchange, promotes favorable conditions to influx of investments, including common project's implementation aiming at business, cultural, social and humanitarian development.
