Ukraine- EU session on justice, freedom and security held Wednesday

On Wednesday Brussels is supposed to host a joint sitting of the Ukraine - EU subcommittee for justice, freedom and security, “Cabinet press office” reported.

During the sitting the parties are supposed to discuss the renewed Ukraine - EU action plan in the sphere of justice, freedom and security, as well as the schedule of its implementation. The sitting agenda provides for discussing an agreement between Ukraine and the EU on simplification of the visa regime and readmission.

The agenda also includes judicial reform, migration and granting asylum, administration of borders, combating organized crime in the spheres of trafficking in human beings, corruption, dirty money laundering, financing terrorism and drug trafficking. The session is also supposed to deal with ways to develop cooperation between the EUROPOL and EUROJUST, as well as prospects for ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court by Ukraine.
