Ukraine counts on four-billion-dollars investments annually


Starting from 2008 the government of Ukraine will first begin joint work with the European investment bank. First vice PM, Finance Minister Mykola Azarov told at a press conference.

“The governmental committee on economic policy considered on February 5 a cooperation program between Ukraine and EBRD for 2007-2009,” he said.

The minister noted that the government of Ukraine counts on annual credits from international financial organizations in the amount of four billion USD.

“Now we refuse from institutional financial support from international organizations in favour of investment projects for concrete economic objects,” he declared.

According to Azarov, Ukraine practices such strategy in relations with the World Bank and EBRD.
