Ukraine’s Rada adopted amendments to the law on Cabinet

Ukraine’s Rada adopted amendments to the law on Cabinet

People’s deputies of Ukraine have given its first reading to the draft bill on amendments to the law on Cabinet and on local state administration by 240 votes (Party of Regions – 179, BYuT – 4, Our Ukraine – 0, SPU – 31, CPU – 21). ForUm’s correspondent reported Friday.

According to Yuri Myroshnychenko, the PR member and the author of the document, the given draft bill sees President’s proposition to the laws.

The draft law now includes the third amendment of the President, which sees possibility to dismiss Defense and Foreign Ministers in accordance with President’s submission, the deputy pointed out.

According to him, in case of adoption of the document the government will have a right to delegate its individual commissions to other bodies of the executive power in accordance with procedure established by laws of Ukraine.

Other amendment sees appointment and dismissal of deputy ministers on submission of respective ministers, and candidatures of Defense and Foreign Ministers are nominated after consultation between the respective minister and the President of Ukraine.

The draft law also excludes the regulation of the existing law on Cabinet on that the government agrees candidatures of deputy chairmen of local state administrations, who perform its commission in governmental spheres of competence.

Moreover, the draft law establishes a regulation, according to which acts of local state administrations decreed in pursuance of commission delegated by respective local councils cannot be cancelled by the Cabinet.
