Yushchenko and Nazarbayev signed program Ukraine-Kazakhstan


The President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko and the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev have signed the program Ukraine-Kazakhstan for 2007-2008, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

The document was signed on completion of Ukrainian-Kazakh negotiations. The program foresees establishment of year of Kazakhstan in Ukraine in 2007 and year of Ukraine in Kazakhstan in 2008.

The document also foresees the cooperation of two countries in fuel-energetic complex, including construction of energetic objects, realization of projects on oil pipelines development and participation in oil and gas field development.

The head of Ukraine and Kazakhstan also signed protocol on changes introduction in intergovernmental agreement of June 1, 2004 on cooperation of supply of Kazakh oil to Ukraine and its transit. The protocol foresees information exchange about volumes of oil supply and possibility of common activity on project of oil pipeline construction “154 km of oil pipeline “Snigerivka-Odessa-oilterminal “Yuzhny” that is 52 km long for supply of Kazakh recourses to the Black Sea.Agreement between Lviv regional administration and Atimat Mangistaus region of Kazakhstan on trade-economic, scientific-technical and culture cooperation was also signed.
