Viktor Yanukovych: Ukraine is able to carry out serious reforms


During the visit to Davos the Ukrainian delegation aims not only to see the world tendencies but also to present Ukraine as a state able to carry out serious reforms “Cabinet press office” reported..

Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych disclosed this while answering journalists’ questions in Davos. “It is for the first time during the years of independence when Ukraine can approach reforms and we must declare it”, the Ukrainian PM said.

According to the Prime Minister, the Ukrainian delegation is interested in tendencies of the world economy and determining the Ukrainian position in this process. “Ukraine is integrated in the world economy by many directions. We would like not only to keep pace with the world tendencies but also to be advanced in some aspects”, the Prime Minister stated citing as an instance energy, infrastructure, logistics and communication issues.

On the whole, Viktor Yanukovych has defined the Davos Forum as a place where the leading world tendencies are presented. “This is a demonstration of the world trends of economic development and Ukraine must participate in it,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine assured.
