President’s health ‘has improved considerably’

Medical tests show that Victor Yushchenko’s health has improved considerably since he was poisoned two years ago, his press secretary, Iryna Vannykova, said on Monday.

Vasyl Knyazevych, the President’s doctor, said “the examination is expected to take up to eight days but since the dynamics of his recovery is really positive we do not rule out the possibility that the President will return to Ukraine this week.”

Accompanied by his wife, Victor Yushchenko is now in an R&D center in Switzerland for a medical examination and therapeutic procedures to remove dioxin from his body.
