Yanukovych is not going to abolish National Security and Defense Council

The Government does not trigger abolition of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC). The Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych told today at the press conference in the Cabinet of Ukraine, commenting on the correspondent draft bill.

“I read this draft bill. There are points I do not agree with. Our point of view will be presented by representatives in the Parliament. But it is an initiation of people’s deputies, the Government didn’t initiated this draft bill,” Yanukovych said.

The Prime Minister considers National Security and Defense Council necessary body in system of the State administration. “It is provided by the Constitution but NSDC’s activity is regulated by correspondent laws. Now it is very important to distribute authority in such way that branches of power do not interchange and do not disturb each other,” he noted.
