EU to concentrate on Ukraine’s problems


Committee session on cooperation Ukraine-EU will take place with participation of representatives of all 27 countries-members of the EU.

Session will hold in Kyiv on January 31, Roman Shpek the head of Ukraine’s mission by the European Union told Ukrainian journalists in Brussels. In January visit of three political directors of the EU will also take place in Ukraine.

Moreover new Ukraine-EU program in sphere of Justice and Interior affairs on control of organized crime, smuggling and illegal migration is planned to be approved during the session of the Council on cooperation in May.

Another work priority of mission is attraction of financial support for increase of protect possibilities against illegal migration and for liquidation of unreasonable armament.

Moreover, according to Shpek, mission is working on procedures completion on signing new agreement on steel trade, stands for Ukrainian producers’ rights as to access to the EU markets, is carrying work on memorandum realization on agriculture and development of rural area.

In the scope of cooperation Ukraine-EU in Brussels 35 actions took place. “This year work will be more intensive,” Shpek considers.
