Ukraine's Rada overrode President’s veto on Cabinet law

Parliamentarians have overridden the veto of the President, imposed on the law on Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, ForUm’s correspondent reports. The parliaments also have not supported any President’s amendment to the law.

After speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Moroz put the issue to the vote, 366 deputies supported the decision. It is worth to mention that 121 members of BYuT faction supported overcoming of the veto.

Our Ukraine faction continued to block the tribune during the voting.

Speaking on the tribune, OU faction leader Vyacheslav Kyrylenko declared that deputies of Our Ukraine are withdrawing voting cards and leaving the parliament.

He underlined that Our Ukraine refuses to work in the parliament, where “the faction which used to be democratic has just joined the anti-crisis coalition.” Kyrylenko pointed out that the law on Cabinet adopted by the parliament gives Party of Regions a possibility to usurp the power.

After Kyrylenko’s speech Our Ukraine deputies left the session hall. The Verkhovna Rada keeps working.
