Opinion: Russian-Belarusian conflict will not influence Ukraine

The world is interested in quick settlement of the oil conflict between Russia and Belarus, Our Ukraine member Yuri Yekhanurov told journalists. “I think Belarusians will agree with Russians,” he noted.

In response to the question whether the conflict will influence Ukraine, Yekhanurov said “it does not touch our interests.”

The deputy reminded that the market had already reacted on the conflict, as oil price has increased, but not very essentially.

As a reminder, from January 1 Russia increased gas price for Belarus to 100$ for 1000 cu m, and Belarus increased oil transit tariffs to 45$ for every ton. At night January 7-8 Russia ceased without warning oil supplies to Belarus, having accused Belarus of illegal siphoning off.
