EU to support Ukraine’s budget

The European Union plans to give Ukrainian budget support in amount of EUR 120 million, according to press-release of the Count Chamber of Ukraine.

Beginning with 2007, new financial instrument of the European Union within the Neighborhood and partnership program is planned to be implemented, in particular the program of Budget support.

Funds of the Budget support will be given directly to the state budget of Ukraine on reform’s realization. The main sectors for development of which the given support will be granted are state financial administration, energy and readmission.

According to the press service of Count Chamber, this issue was discussed at the meeting between the first deputy chairman of the Count Chamber of Ukraine Volodymyr Pershyn and the European committee’s delegation.
