Viktor Korzh appointed Family, Youth and Sports Minister of Ukraine

The VR has backed the appointment of Party of Regions member, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee Viktor Korzh for the post of Family, Youth and Sports Minister by 247 votes, “Cabinet press office” reported.

Viktor Korzh, born on August 3, 1957 in Kharkiv, graduated from the Kharkiv Medical University in 1982 and the Kyiv State Physical Culture Institute in 1989. Viktor Korzh used to occupy the posts of Deputy Chief of the Kharkiv Regional Rada "Dynamo" and the Deputy Chief of the "Investor" company, the mayor-general of the police, the President of the Gymnastics Federation of Ukraine, the Vice President of the National Olympic Committee and people's deputy, representative of the Regions Party.

The previous minister Yuri Pavlenko was dismissed on November 29.
