Ukraine is ready to become mediator between Russia and Georgia

Ukraine confirms its readiness to become a mediator in negotiations between Russia and Georgia, Ukraine’s President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko declared speaking in Georgian parliament at the session on the occasion of the third anniversary of “rose revolution.”

The President said Ukraine followed the development of relations between Russia and Georgia.

“Ukraine again offers its help as a third party with an international mandate to resolve the conflict in a way that would satisfy the two sides,” he said, adding that Ukraine and Georgia should cooperate in this area as equal and close partners.
