Kyiv to host the World Press Photo-2006

On October 21, Kyiv-Mohyla Centre of Modern Art will host the World Press Photo-2006. It is a second time this project comes to Ukraine.

“This exhibition presents the best press photos. It demonstrates the most important events of the year. We think it is a necessary and urgent project. It is a real world not like that of cinema – no happy end. It is a world we live in,” said Yulia Vahanova, CMA Director, at a briefing.

This year contest presents over 83,000 photos from 122 world countries. Ukraine is represented by nine photojournalists. Kyiv exhibition shows 210 photos.

The exhibition will last till November 12.
