Ukraine's President sent a letter to PM Yanukovych

Victor Yushchenko has written a letter to Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych with a request to resolve problems with gas supplies in the regions, President's press office reported.

The President said he had received numerous signals from regional officials. Their major complaint is that next year’s natural gas price for people, industries, budget organizations and heating facilities has not yet been set. Besides, gas companies refuse to sign contracts with their consumers.

“The absence of this information impedes the budget process in the regions, sparking new tensions,” he said. “I demand that you study the above-mentioned facts and take measures to resolve them.”
