The United Nations addresses traffic in children and CP problems in Ukraine


October 22-28, the UN Special Rapporteur on Traffic in Children, Child Prostitution and Porn Juan Miguel Petit will visit Ukraine.

The main target of his visit is to make a report based on the visit’s results regarding the situation in Ukraine and to submit it for consideration of the IV session of the Council on Human Rights scheduled on March, 2007.

Mr Petit plans to meet the Cabinet’s representatives, tribunals, parliaments, NGOs, private persons engaged in children’s problems.

The main attention will be paid to the children trafficking complicated with the sexual slavery. During his three-day visit, the UN Special Spokesperson will visit Kyiv and its suburbs.
