Eduard Prutnik has been elected a Head of the State Comittee on TV and Radio Broadcasting

According to the latest result of voting in the Verkhovna Rada, PR MP Eduard Prutnik has been elected a Head of the State Committee on TV and Radio Broadcasting.

244 MPs voted for his candidacy.

Eduard Prutnik was born on January 15, 1973 in Selidovo village, Donetsk Region. He was graduated from Moscow University in 1996 and Donetsk University in 2001. He was Advisor of PM Yanukovich since December 2002 till January 2005.

Over three days, November 8-10, Eduard Prutnik campaigned on Mr. Yanukovych's behalf with journalists at the National Press Club, with business and government representatives at the Cosmos Club and the Nixon Center, and at some individual meetings as well. The aim of the visit, he said in an interview with Voice of America on November 9, was to explain the economic and other successes of the Yanukovych government so that his victory in the run-off with Viktor Yushchenko on November 21 would not come as a surprise, Ukrweekly informed.
