Ukraine not to raise the blockade of Transdniester

The Ukrainian side does not intend to cancel customs regulations on the Transdniester border, introduction of which caused economic blockade of the unrecognized republic.

Today State customs service of Ukraine has officially accused Transdniester of self-blockade. Official Kyiv states that the Transdniesterian side still blocks movement of rolling-stocks from Ukraine.

“Movement of cargo and passenger transportations forcedly goes a roundabout way of Transdniester, what adversely affect the cost of load delivery,” the statement of State customs service of Ukraine says.

“Though the blockade of movement of railway transport through Transdniestrian region of Ukrainian-Moldovan border causes problematic situation for our country, Ukraine must strictly follow the established order of customs registration and continue to coordinate security of its political and economic interests in the region.”
