Rada promises to elect PM and Speaker next week

The next week parliamentary majority will elect Prime Minister and VR Chairman in any circumstances, as BYuT representative Oleksandr Turchinov told journalists after the session of the temporary presidium.

He said the majority had everything ready to elect Speaker and to form government. The only obstacle is the blockade of the VR session hall by Party of Regions, Turchinov said.

He underlined that despite inner clashes over Poroshenko’s candidature, OU had exclusive right to this post and, accordingly, responsibility.

Turchinov noted that the form of voting was not important for the coalition (in package or separately). According to him, the only principal thing is democratic and transparent voting.

At the same Turchinov pointed out that the coalition would not accept conditions of Party of Regions.
