Ukraine ex-Vice PM on Humanitarian Issues Tomenko to defend non-smoking Ukrainians


Mykola Tomenko, a deputy Chief BYuT faction, has submitted a draft bill to the Verkhovna Rada on implementation of changes into the Act of Ukraine “On Advertisement,” the press office of Tomenko informed.

The draft bill proposes to prohibit completely tobacco ads on TV and radio, and partially alcohol beverages ads (from 6 am till 11 pm) since January 1, 2007. In addition, it reads about a necessity to prohibit tobacco and alcohol beverages ads on first and last pages of newspapers, magazines and other editions, outdoor and indoor ads included.
