The investigation of the incident with Boryspil Prosecutor Kuzovkin is underway


Today several Ukrainian and Russian mass media have spread the information concerning the incident happened with Boryspil Prosecutor Kuzovkin and alleged participation of Andriy Yushchenko in it.
 
ForUm has addressed Larysa Mudrak the First deputy of the President Press office to give an explanation to this information. “We are waiting for the official statements made by the law enforcement and the public prosecutor’s agencies. The official comments will follow the officially confirmed information,” stresses Larysa Mudrak adding that if the information appears to be true, the guilty participators will be punished.

She stressed that those who spread false information would be responsible for this.

The Interior Minister Spokesperson Inna Kisel, in turns, reported that all materials related to the incident have bee submitted to the General Public Prosecutor’s Office. “We are not commissioned to comment on this,” noted Kisel.

The General Office of Public Prosecutor has confirmed the information that the corresponding criminal case has been instituted. “The police is commissioned with the investigation. The investigation is underway,” stressed the Deputy Spokesperson of the Prosecutor’s Office Yuri Boychenko.

As a reminder, on May 19 the unknown person shot at Kuzovkin who is already out of the hospital. Several mass media have published information that it was Andriy Yushchenko's bodyguard who shot the Prosecutor.
