Turkmenistan acknowledged impossibility of gas deliveries to Ukraine

Turkmenistan officially acknowledged impossibility of direct gas supply to Ukraine, as declared Gunbanmurad Atayev, Turkmenistan Minister of oil and gas industry and mineral resources.

“Turkmenistan party doesn’t account for gas supply to Ukraine, as Kyiv has not agreed with Russia about transit of Turkmenistan gas,” reports Turkmenistan Minister in response to distributed statement of Ukraine Minister for Fuel and Energy Ivan Plachkov concerning Turkmenistan’s nonfeasance on gas deliveries.

The parties have not yet proceeded to realization of the contract on supply of 40 bln cu m of gas Ukraine, concluded on December of the last year.

“Turkmenistan party repeatedly offered Ukrainian side to agree with Russian Gazprom about transit of Turkmen gas via territory of Russia,” comments on the situation the Minister.
