President of Ukraine insists on division of Mass Media from the power


President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko stresses the necessity to abolish state Mass Media.

“The information field owned by the state must be given to civil property. It is a special project,” noted the President Yushchenko.

He also pledged to support the corresponding project on conditions that it will be thoroughly worked out. The local authorities must use the Mass Media market instead of their own channels, newspapers, magazines and radio channels, Victor Yushchenko stated.
