Sweden to finance Ukraine’s integration in the EU

Swedish government plans to allocate about $20 million annually to Ukraine with the framework of cooperation program till 2008, as reported Swedish Ambassador to Ukraine John-Christer Ahlander.

According to the Ambassador, Sweden decided about the cooperation program with Ukraine till 2008 and intends to support reforms, directed to integration in the EU, newspaper “Delo” informed.

“Strategy of development of cooperation with Ukraine aims at support of those changes, which Ukraine wants to realize to be closer to the European Union. First of all, these are economic and democratic reforms,” noted John-Christer Ahlander.
