Ukraine PM knows how to spend transit payment

Ukraine intends to spend the gas transit payment for modernization of its gas-transport system, PM Yekhanurov told Friday in Warsaw.

“We are doing now everything to spend of increasing price on gas transit for modernization of the gas-transport system,” mentioned Yuri Yekhanurov adding that new principle of Ukrainian gas transit will sound as “pay or stop transit.”

According to him, in order to do it Ukraine should increase the reserve-active gas volume in the gas store up to 34-36 milliard cubic metres.

He also stresses that Ukraine will conduct the full certification of its gas-transport system.
