Kyiv Mayor to settle the victims of Elita-Centre

Kyiv city authorities plan to establish special fund aimed at compensation of Elita-Centre victims, Kyiv Mayor Oleksandr Omelchenko said in the interview. The fund will provide the victims with long-waited residence in two years.

The newly created special committee considered this issue. The initiative groups consisted of the victims took part in it.

“We have made certain plans. Everything is under control. I think during 70 days we will cope with it: firstly, we are to punish the criminals; secondly, we will elaborate a model of fund functioning. To settle this problem means to build 1,200 apartments,” said Omelchenko.
