Russian officials: Events near “Khersonessky” lighthouse are provocation

Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Grigory Karasin considers that the events on February 11 near “Khersonessky” lighthouse are nothing but a provocation, as he declared during briefing in Kyiv February 14.

He noted that there are two different versions – Ukrainian and Russian. “Our version, based on eye-witnesses’ observation, is that there was a provocation as regards one of the objects, rented by RF BSF in Crimea,” said Karasin, having added that the version of the Ukrainian party differs.

“But the important thing is that we compare these versions in time and try to find the truth,” summed up Russian deputy Foreign Minister.
