Yushchenko intends to make Gongadze trial public

At a meeting of the National Commission on the Promotion of the Rule of Law, Victor Yushchenko said he intended to ask judges to make the Gongadze trial public, presidential press office reported.

“Because of the great public resonance, political conjectures and some other reasons, which, I think, discredit the country and undermine its reputation, I will ask the court to make the trial public in accordance with the law,” he said. “I am convinced we must put an end to this case to honor the court, judges, and victims.”
