Georgian authorities hail the possible participation of Ukrainian peacemakers in South Osetia settlement, Nino Burdzhanadze the Speaker of Georgian Parliament told in the press conference in Kyiv.
“Off course we will be glad to see our Ukrainian friends and other countries in the mandate and we do welcome Russian troops there,” said Burdzhanadze adding that participation pure Russian contingent is inadmissible.
“The participation only Russian peacemakers are inadmissible for us because some facts prove Russia is not a mediator but an interested side of the conflict,” noted the Speaker.
February 13, the Georgian parliament will hold a session of the Committees on Defence and International Relations. The main target of it is to consider the information concerning the violations for the last twelve years. “Our claims are focused on the violations of the main items of the peacemaking mandate,” added she.
As a reminder, President of Ukraine stated Ukraine’s willingness to provide Georgia with support concerning conflicts settlement.
