NSDCU Secretary met Portuguese Ambassador to Ukraine


Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council Secretary Anatoly Kinakh and Portuguese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Jose Manuel Pessanha Viegas discussed the prospects of development of the bilateral relations.

The participants of the meeting hailed the necessity to intensify the cooperation between Portugal and Ukraine. The discussion was focused on perspective trends of cooperation such as: transport, economics, hi-tech (air-craft construction, energy engineering), agriculture and processing industry.

The parties believe the meeting will promote commercial and economic cooperation and intensify the partnership.

NSDCU Secretary and Portuguese Ambassador considered the question of the rights’ protection of the Ukrainian migrants living and working in Portugal. Kinakh reminded that Portugal was the first country which signed the agreement on temporary migration of Ukrainian citizens for work in Portugal.
