Naftogaz may go bankrupt by the end of the year

Former vice-PM for the fuel and energy complex Andriy Kluyev foresees that Naftogaz Ukrainy may become a bankrupt by the end of current year.

“Unfortunately, it may happen. It is connected with the formation of the joint venture, which will deliver gas to industrial enterprises, while Naftogaz will supply housing establishments, population and budget institutions,” declared Kluyev in an interview with journalists.

Besides, Kluyev noted that having analyzed volumes of gas deliveries to housing institutions and to industrial enterprises, it can be foreseen that “a hole may appear in Naftogaz’s balance.”

According to the former vie-PM, banks, that credited Naftogaz, have already understood this and started to close their back-up lines.
