The USA to allocate $85 mln to Ukraine


US financial help for Ukraine will make 85 mln USD in 2007, as reports accompanying note to budget draft.

In particular, it is mentioned that Ukraine remains an important strategic partner and is one of the main US partners in Iraq.

Besides, Americans consider the success of democratic reforms in Ukraine the main driving force of the whole region.

US money will be delivered to evolution of democracy, development of economic reforms and building of a shelter for the third power-generating unit of Chernobyl nuclear plant.

Georgia and Russia will get 58 mln USD each, Turkmenistan – five million USD.

Except for the above mentioned sum, Ukraine may get additional financing from special humanitarian programs and international funds, financed by Washington.
