WTO membership lets Ukraine have proper commercial relations with Russia

Ukraine needs WTO membership and also needs to use WTO mechanisms for creation proper system of trade relations with other countries, especially with Russia, Valery Pyatnitsky Deputy Economy Minister told.

According to Pyatnitsky, the Russian lobby concerning making obstacles for Ukraine on the way to the WTO is closely connected with the presence of Russian businessmen in the world markets. “It is quite obvious that Russian presence there is getting more and more noticeable and it influences the presence of the Ukrainian businessmen,” said he.

The WTO membership means from the one hand the increase of the competition of the country and its protection by the international laws and norms.
