Russia toughens customs regulations for Ukrainians

Russia made a decision to reduce hand luggage volume, permitted for importation, from 50 kg to 35 kg for citizens of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova, as declared PM of Ukraine Yuri Yekhanurov during today’s meeting with students of Kyiv-Mohilyanska Academy.

According to him, he informed representatives of the government of this fact yesterday.

Russian customs officials motivate the norm 35 kg by necessity to combat Chinese merchants, who flood the market with cheap goods.

Press center of State customs service of Ukraine said they can not comment on the decision of Russian colleagues, as it is politics. According to data from the press center, the order of customs free border crossing for goods has not changed yet. As before, natural persons can bring 50 kg of goods in Ukraine.
