Mass fall of birds has started in Crimea

Mass fall of wild ducks has been registered in Alushta region, Crimea, as officials of Veterinary State Department of Alushta reported to Crimean Head Department of Emergency Ministry. Specialist of veterinary service found 211 dead wild ducks in villages Isobilnoe and Partenit.

Samples of a pathological material, taken from the dead birds, have been sent to experts of Crimean veterinary laboratory for establishing the cause of mysterious death of the whole flock. Under conditions when a virus continues to wipe out birds in different regions of Crimea, there is possibility that the wild ducks died of avian flue, newspaper “Segodnya” reported.
