The First Lady of Ukraine launched the ship

On January 20, Kateryna Yushchenko took part in the launching of the ship Dmytro Kotyuzhenko, built in Mykolayiv by Damen Shipyards Ocean for Ukrrichflot (Ukrainian River Fleet).

Invited by the shipbuilders, Kateryna Yushchenko became the honorary godmother of the ship. She gave it an icon depicting Saint Nicholas, who is revered as the patron saint of seamen, and also an antique Ukrainian towel from the private collection of the Yushchenkos, the President's press office told.

Addressing those present, the First Lady noted that she was proud of the Mykolayiv shipbuilders that build Ukrainian ships for Ukrainian companies.
